Whew ! What a winter this year has been with the cold temps and record snow falls all along the Eastern seaboard and yet still another winter storm is is bearing down on our area , Who's ready for Spring and some fishing ? Striped bass and bluefish will start showing up by late April and I will be starting our 2010 fishing season as of May 1st [ only 2 months away ! Yeah !] and I look forward to seeing everyone after this wintery record breaker !

This year I have moved to Sun Harbor Marina [ right up the street from old dock]. Sun Harbor Marina has a swimming pool, grill [ Mmm , can you smell the fresh fish grillen'] , picnic tables, and clean bathrooms and shower facilties for your use and enjoyment and with a luchenette on the premises also scheduled to open soon , it will hopefully add to your enjoyment and convience. I have been blessed with the oppurtunity to enjoy a Florida Vacation this week with my whole family including my Wife and Kids and Father , brother and sisters and there Families . The weather has been beautiful and temps in the mid to upper 70's to high's of 80f with only a smattering shower making for my lifelong dream of coming to the Keys a wonderful reality for us all. I hope the pics that I sent along helps to warm you in some way for those who could not get away this winter. The fishing down here has been a really cool experience with all the variety of species of fish !!We are staying at Lime Tree Bay Resorts in the Zane Grey town houses located right on the water. Catching a variety of fish from the dock made for plenty of excitement for both kids young and old . My brother Ryan and I had to test our "Yankey" fish skills on both the Gulf and Atlantic from a flats skiff we chartered for a huge veriety of mangrove snapper, garfish, pork fish, jack crevalle , lady fish, spanish mackeral, red grouper, shark, pig fish, grunt, blue fish just to name a few, all the while watching huge tarpon cruising local marina's looking for a free hand out [ of course in " No fishing " zones ] . The water is as beautiful as you may have imagined it, light aqua blue and with the light winds we had experienced on our fishing trip , the sky touched the horzine so lightly it was hard to define where the sky ended and the sea started . We did find our way to Key West when the weather was to cool [ 62f] for swimming to experience a diverse and entertaining location. To add to the enjoyment of Key West While enjoying a lunch in an open air wharf I spotted ESPN's TV host Jose Wejebe of the Spanish Fly cruise by on his SEAVEE ! We will be starting our 2010 fishing season at the start of May and look forward to see everyone [ that's only 60 days away !] See more pictures in our 2010 Gallery

Hope to see you all Reel soon !

It was a great time guys, even though they [ Florida ] are experiencing their coldest winter ever it sure beats up here . Last week I was watching the Weather Channel seeing and hearing about the wintery fist that was coming all the while looking outside and enjoying blue skies, tropical breezes blowing threw the palm and coconut trees. It really is a great place !

LOOKS LIKE YOU HAD A GREAT TIME ! COOL PICKS!

While you were catching a smorgasboard of fish I was taking "red eye" flights to avoid getting stuck in Salt Lake City only to come home to a vicious
Nor easter that brought 50 -60 mph winds and dumped 16 inches of snow
in just 6 hours.

APRIL COULDN'T COME FAST ENOUGH !
