Again another solid week of Fantastic Fall Fishing had by anglers aboard the Reel Fantasea ! Local outdoor writer Jim Hutchinson Sr with son and Executive Editor of " The Fisherman " magazine Jim Hutchinson Jr. was out Thursday under a mass of bird play with blues Galore on top with stripers mixed in . The fish were so tightly packed along the top you could actually hear them almost all day long ! It sounded like a hard running river !! We ended the trip back at the inlet area catching striper on BKD's and shads. The Scott Kindness party was out for a solid day catching upward of forty stripered bass along with a load of slammer blues ! The guys ended the day back at the inlet landing 12-15 more bass on spot. The Chris spring was out with brother Jim and new comer Eric to not only battle blues and bass but Gale force winds ! The strong NW winds allowed us to stay with the school of fish long enough to boat about 12 stripers and about the sa me amount of blues until the sea state started to reach a steep 4-7ft . The wind never abated long enough to allow the fishing to improve inshore so we ended the day early.
Best Regards,
Capt. Steve Purul

The action continues to be "Rock" fish solid ! The Green Briar Fishing Club was out to score 30+ stripers including 5 keepers to 30" . The guys scored with stripers from the back bay to the inlet area on spot and artificials. Sundays trip for the Dom DiNapoli Party was out in stiff NE winds to 25kts. Even in the sloppy ocean condtions the guys managed 20+ stripers but the keepers were hard to come by as most of the fish were 24-27" . The guys were a salty crew and managed to hang in there and make the most out of the day and put a keeper in the box.

If Last weeks actions was " On Fire" this weeks has reached "Thermo Nuclear" !!!
I got a chance to fish byself today [Thursday Oct 30 ] due to last minute
cancellation . The first stop was fast and furious action with non -stop action
with 30++ stripers to 29" on plastics. The next stop was the same with the depth
sounder lite up with more color than a rainbow it was drop and reel action at
it's best !! There was visible stripers chasing bait all day long in and around
the boat making the action even more insane ! It did not matter what bait you
used ,live spot or artificials it was Fish On !! as soon as it reached the
bottom . It was one of those days no matter what you did or tried it just
worked! I caught about 50 ++ stripers with only 1 bluefish brought to the boat
all day . I actually [ 1st time in my life] wore myself completely out and left
the bass still biting . This maybe my personal best striper day ever !! By the
way the biggest fish was 18lbs, most of the fish were 2
4-29".
Best Regards,
Capt. Steve Purul

This week was at times a "Full Throttle Fall Striper Bite " with blues and
wreck fishing filling the gaps in between ! Regular Jay Simmons was aboard for a
" Fast out of the gate " striper bite on live spot , managing 15 stripers and
keeping his limit of bass [ I even got mine as well ] until the bite dead off .
From there it was off to the wrecks for some "drop and reel " wreck fishing
landing his limit of blackfish and adding seabass and porgies to to his catch.
Jay went home with nice bags of fillets to add to his already overflowing
freezer from the Reel Fantasea !!! The Dave Owens party was out for a slow start
in muddy water on Sunday, but as the ocean calmed and cleaned the bite ignited
!! All four guys limited out on Stripers and played catch and release with 20 ++
bass !!! Chris Ownes was high hook and Pool winner with a nice 20lbs -37"
striper !! I have an Open boat scheduled for Thursday Oct 30 , anyone interested
call - 609-290-1217. The action right know is on fire !!
I have this Thursday October 30 Open for Striped bass and bluefish- The cost is -
Back bay/inlet- $400.00 divided # of anglers [up to 3].
Inlet /ocean jigging/trolling- $575.00 divided by # of anglers [up to 3].
We have been doing very well , and the action just keeps getting better !! Last weeks action was limits for all on aboard and plenty of catch and release !!

Tough weather week with strong North- North East winds along with the waning of the Moon made for extreme currents and sloppy conditions . Regular Joe Franke was out for the best of the weather and fishing conditions where he landed 4 stripers and missed what appeared to be the best fish of the day when it came unbuttoned. The next day regulars Wayne Salvi, Sean Castle and Mike Weber teamed up for what was supposed to be an open striper/bluefish/wreck trip but the ocean started to get caught up to the stiff North wind creating a higher than forcasted sea condition . We managed only a short striper along with a few bit off spots and one nice throw back fluke . The strange thing was you could see large blues swimming in the waves as they were lifted into the air creating a " window pane " effect , but they were just not very cooperative. Not to worry ! The weather we are experiencing should actually kick start the Fall fishing as things calm down beginning early next week .
I have 2 spots open [ 1 committed ] for this Thursday Oct 23rd- The trip will be the last open boat of the year as the rest of the calender is booked . We will be targeting stripers/blues/and wreckf ishing .
